PN Lawyers Attends Hero Kulture by Kulture City

Along with the ABC Sports Foundation, PN Lawyers attended HeroKulture by KultureCity. The event was aimed at raising awareness about autism and the work of organizations like KultureCity in supporting people with autism and their families.

Kulture City is a non-profit organization that works to create a more inclusive world for people with autism. The organization is committed to providing access to sensory-friendly spaces, educational resources, and social opportunities to people with autism and their families. Kulture City believes that by creating a more inclusive world, people with autism can reach their full potential and thrive. Kulture City's work in creating sensory-friendly spaces is particularly important for people with autism, who may experience sensory overload in typical environments. The organization has partnered with venues like sports arenas, museums, and airports to create sensory-friendly spaces that cater to the specific needs of people with autism.

A.B.C. Sports Foundation is a 501(c)3 that provides current and former athletes with resources to make a meaningful impact in their communities by providing services to athletes including non-profit management in health & wellness, mentorship, and arts & entertainment.

Some key legal issues families with autism face include:

1. Guardianship, Trust and Estate Planning: Families with autistic children may face legal challenges related to guardianship and estate planning. Parents may need to establish legal guardianship for their child once they reach adulthood to ensure they can continue to make important decisions on their behalf. Additionally, families may need to develop a comprehensive estate plan to provide for their child's long-term needs and care after their own death.

2 Access to Education: Families with autistic children often face legal challenges related to their children's access to education. These challenges may include securing appropriate accommodations and support services, such as specialized instruction and therapy, under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and other applicable laws.

3. Employment Discrimination: As autistic children grow into adulthood, they may face legal challenges related to employment discrimination. Employers are required to make reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities, including autism, under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). However, autistic individuals may face discrimination in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions.
