Khemraj Baboolall v. Moka Restaurant and Club Inc., Index No. 16597/2013 (Supreme Court, Queens County).

On March 18, 2013, a bouncer was angered by a patron having a good time at the Moka Club,  located at 10-31 91st Avenue, Richmond Hill, Queens, New York. At about 4:30 a.m., the young man left the club to go home. He never made it. The enraged bouncer followed the young man around the block and beat him with impunity until he was unconscious. He was found on the sidewalk with lacerations to his head in addition to his swollen, bruised, and bleeding face. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and on the third day there, he died.

The bar will now pay 2 million dollars to the young man’s family thanks to Attorney Meesaraganda.
