“If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.” – Margaret Thatcher
We took Margaret Thatcher’s words to heart and produced a special edition event “Empowering Women in the Workplace Panel Discussion & Networking Social” to powerfully kick off Women’s History Month by creating a movement.
Over 75 attendees joined us last night at WeWork 750 Lexington to celebrate and honor women in the workplace and to support professionally and personally empower women.
Our dynamic panel featured inspiring female leaders stemming from a wide array of industries and diverse backgrounds that shared their professional journeys, personal struggles, work/life balance, and how women can work towards the future to further empower one another. The discussion continued as guests shared their engaging thoughts and asked propelling questions to the panelists. We truly could have kept the conversation going all night, the questions were flowing and so was the wine, which is essential for creating the necessary ambiance for a fruitful and intimate atmosphere.
Following the Q&A session, our attendees mingled and networked with one another over pizza, craft beer, more wine from Eklektikon, and desserts by Cakes by Lexi.
Attendees left the event with complimentary manicured nails, courtesy of Maniorpedi, swag bags, photos from a pop up photo booth courtesy of Samsung, and an empowered spirit.
This is only the beginning. Sustainable change does not take place after one successful event, it requires nurturing, guidance and a strong support network to thrive. That is why we decided to create a Facebook group dedicated to empowering women in the workplace to further engage with one another and strengthen these new bonds. Click HERE to join.
We are ever so grateful to our panelists for sharing their stories and supporting other women in the audience.
Thank you to the team at WeWork 750 Lexington for helping us put this event together.
A huge thank you to all of our sponsors: NBA, Samsung, Hint Water, Christo 5th Avenue, Eklektikon, Agape Match, Maniorpedi, and Cakes by Lexi.
