
Sophia-Elena Mystakidi is a Greek attorney admitted to the Athens Bar since 2009, with full rights of audience before all Greek courts, including the Supreme Civil and Criminal Court (Areios Pagos). She has extensive experience in Greek legal affairs, advising on complex matters across business, corporate, civil, and real estate law.
She holds a Law degree - Master 1 in Business Law from the University of Strasbourg – Robert Schuman and a Master 2 in Public Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, completed in collaboration with the University of Bordeaux – Montesquieu.
Sophia-Elena began her legal career at the leading Greek law firm Karatzas & Partners and later served as legal counsel to international companies, advising on corporate governance, business transactions, and regulatory matters. For more than a decade, she has led a boutique legal practice representing private clients and investors in complex corporate, civil and real estate matters.
In parallel with her private practice, Sophia-Elena has advised senior government officials on strategic projects during periods of economic and institutional crisis, contributing to high-level legal strategy and negotiations with European institutions. Her work has included advising on the legal framework of the Ellinikon Investment Project (Law 4422/2016) as Counsel to the Minister of Culture, contributing to the Investment Licensing Reform (Law 4442/2016) as Counsel to the Deputy Minister of Development, coordinating legal teams in international evaluation procedures (UNCAC, GRECO, OECD) as Counsel to the Secretary General Against Corruption at the Ministry of Justice (2017–2018), and more recently serving as Head of the Office of the Secretary General for Industry at the Ministry of Development (2023–2025) coordinating and managing the implementation of reform measures under the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). In this capacity, she was a Task Force member within the national recovery plan “Greece 2.0”.
She combines deep knowledge of the Greek legal framework with an international perspective, providing clients with pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice in complex and sensitive matters.
